2019: Year in Review

For as excited as we are about next year (keep an eye out for our 2020 preview), we thought it would be appropriate to reflect on the year we’ve had, and what it meant for our company.  After all, 2019 is the biggest year in Iron Age Office’s history, but why is that?  Let’s take a look back…

If there’s one seminal change that defines Iron Age in the year 2019, it’s the expansion of our team.  As our CEO, Sean predicted, Iron Age has more than doubled its workforce this year, and we couldn’t be happier with the results.  As you hopefully know, all of our products are entirely hand crafted, created by our world-class craftsmen.  Simply put, without our skilled craftsmen, we can’t make the furniture.  Thankfully, this year we’ve brought on a myriad of highly skilled welders, woodworkers, and everything in between.  They are the backbone of Iron Age.

It wasn’t just in the workshop that IAO grew in 2019; our office staff has also seen exciting expansion.  Early in the year, we were thrilled to bring on an official VP of Sales.  This individual has helped guide us through our most profitable year in the company’s history.  In fact, sales increased so significantly that just a few short months after hiring our VP of Sales, we established a sales operations team to help keep up with various logistical matters.  This increase in popularity also necessitated the addition of another Drafter, who creates 3D renderings of our clients’ workspaces to help them visualize what our products will look like in their offices or homes.  As the summer progressed, we brought on an official Content Creator to help bolster our social media efforts and lead the development of video content.  Finally, as Autumn filled the air, we hired a much-needed Marketing Manager to help unify our brand messages and disseminate our top-quality deliverables.  Once the quieter portion of Iron Age, our office is now bustling with activity on a daily basis.  Each new personality thrown into the mix has developed and strengthened our company’s culture, creating a one of a kind work environment that each and every one of us are excited to be a part of.

2019 has been a year of acquiring the individuals that are going to take IAO to the next level.  2020 is going to be a reflection of this.
